LoopForm is giving carbon fibre a second life without compromising performance.
-
LoopForm has developed a novel reclamation process, resulting in 80-90% retention of material performance while using 80% less energy than new fibre production, by tailoring to different carbon fibre types and “looping” the crucial fibre form. The technology offers a high-performance yet sustainable reclaimed alternative to virgin materials for advanced manufacturing. The reclaimed carbon fibre is readily applicable through existing manufacturing processes to produce new high-value products.
-
Five times stronger and ten times more energy-intensive to produce than steel, carbon fibre drives innovation in aviation, turbines, and even sporting goods. When carbon fibre is recycled through current methods, it loses more than 80% of performance, making it unusable in high-value applications.
-
- Manufacturers in aerospace, wind, and sporting goods industries demanding more sustainable, strong and lightweight materials
- Businesses and governments looking to divert waste carbon fibre from landfill
-
- AU$960K non-dilutive grant funding secured
- Partnerships with manufacturers including Specialized Bicycle Components and Carbon Revolution
- 10+ customers using operational pilot system
