Summary

My research focuses on the relationship between the concepts of gender equality, women's empowerment and security within Colombia's internal conflict and peacebuilding process. I analyse changing peacebuilding processes over time but also examine the implications of the concepts' integration into UN discourse, particularly within the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
