I am a Research Fellow at UNSW Sydney, where my research explores the policy, legal and regulatory questions raised by the innovations and emerging technologies defining the current era of FinTech and digital finance. I also engage with related fields including data privacy, digital trade, corporate digital responsibility, and the governance of the digital economy and technologies.

Before joining UNSW, I served in various capacities as a Lecturing Assistant and Research Fellow at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa, where I was involved in research, teaching and supervision across legal research and writing, trade finance, financial regulation, FinTech, and public law modules at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

Alongside my academic work, I have been actively engaged in legal practice for over ten years across diverse settings, including law firms, in-house roles and consulting. I have advised on and worked across a broad range of matters spanning banking and finance transactions, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, data privacy, IT contracts, technology transfer and policy reform initiatives across various African markets.
