Dr Yulong Alex Sun currently works in Chemical Engineering, deeply passionate about unravelling the intricasies of tribological interfaces and mechanised molecules of the real and nano world. Equipped with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and more than a decade of invaluable research experience, his unwavering delication lies in advancing scientific knowledge within the realm of tribology and interlocked molecules.

Research Interests and Expertise:
Dr Sun's research interests primarily revolve around the fascinating realm of mechanised molecules at interfaces, particularly in the areas of hydration lubrication and controlled release systems. Dr Sun's specialised expertise includes:

  1. Investigating the mechanism of hydration lubrication: He delves into the intricate processes underlying hydration lubrication to better comprehend its fundamental mechanisms and optimise its applications.
  2. Developing robust molecular lubrication systems for biomedical and industrial purposes: He specialises in creating highly efficient molecular lubrication systems that can be applied in both biomedical and industrial settings, ensuring enhanced performance and longevity.
  3. Designing mechanised interlocked molecules for controlled release and molecular detection: He is adept at constructing innovative interlocked molecules that enable precise control over release mechanisms, facilitating targeted delivery and detection in a variety of applications.
  4. Constructing organ-on-chip platforms for medical scanning and translation: He actively engages in the development of cutting-edge organ-on-chip technologies, facilitating accurate medical scanning and effective translation of research findings into clinical applications.

Moreover, He has a keen interest in exploring the intricate molecular interactions occurring at diverse interfaces, deepening our understanding of their behaviour and fostering potential breakthroughs in various scientific disciplines.
