My research focuses on how lipid species and apolipoproteins influence α-synuclein aggregation and toxicity in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. I earned my PhD from the Université de La Réunion, France where I studied lipid-related mechanisms of neuropathology. I use a combination of in vitro, in vivo, and imaging approaches to explore the molecular links between metabolic dysfunction and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.
