Brittany McGill is a Research Fellow/Clinical Psychologist at the Behavioural Sciences Unit, School of Clinical Medicine, UNSW Medicine & Health and the Kids Cancer Centre, Sydney Children's Hospital. Brittany completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons 1) at the University of Sydney and Masters of Clinical Psychology (Hons 1) at the University of New South Wales.
As a clinician-researcher she has been involved in the development of a suite of information resources and supportive care interventions for families affected by childhood cancer and other chronic and severe illnesses of childhood, including genetic conditions. Her PhD research examined the psychosocial impact of precision medicine and clinical genetic testing on families affected by childhood cancer. Since 2013 she has worked as a clinical psychologist in private, public and university settings and is registered clinical supervisor for clinical psychology students and registrars undertaking their clinical training.
