I use interdisciplinary approaches to understand how the biochemistry of the brain underlies brain function, and vice versa. A range of (mostly) collaborative projects crosses basic and more applied research, centred around the use of magnetic resonance technology both in vivo and in vitro.
Broad Research Areas:
Neuroscience, Metabolism, Neuropsychology, Neurology, Drug Related Harm / Addiction
Society Memberships & Professional Activities:
International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN; Secretary (2019-2023)), International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism (ISCBFM), Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), Australian and New Zealand Society for Magnetic Resonance (ANZMAG; Company Secretary (2006-2019))
Specific Research Keywords:
Sleep-disordered Breathing, Medical Imaging, Neuropharmacology, Brain function, Neurochemistry, Biophysics
Medal of The Australian and New Zealand Society for Magnetic Resonance, 2017
