Catherine is Research Fellow in the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit, Centre for Big Data Research in Health. Her research focuses on reproductive epidemiology, including assisted reproductive technology, using large linked health datasets.

She brings over a decade of experience in biostatistics and data science applied to population health, including cancer epidemiology and prediction modelling at the Garvan Institute, and systems modelling of mental health services and social determinants at the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney. She completed her PhD in computational biology at the University of Sydney, studying the molecular drivers of the childhood cancer neuroblastoma.

Catherine is the first author of Genomics in the AWS Cloud (Wiley, 2023) and is committed to multidisciplinary research and to mentoring early-career resarchers.
