Miss Charlotte Zhu

Dr Charlotte Zhu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney and a member of the Particles and Catalysis Research Group. Her research focuses on developing sunlight-assisted catalytic technologies for converting CO₂ into sustainable fuels and chemicals through catalyst design, reaction engineering and advanced characterisation. Her work spans catalyst synthesis, high-pressure reactor development, and mechanistic studies supported by in situ spectroscopy, altogether aimed at bridging fundamental catalysis with industrially relevant processes.

She welcomes students interested in heterogeneous catalysis, CO₂ conversion, photothermal catalysis and experimental reactor development.
