I am a translational researcher and applied biostatistician passionate about using large observational real-world datasets to improve human health. I am a Research Fellow with the Medicines Intelligence program at the UNSW School of Population Health with ten years of post-PhD research experience in multi-disciplinary environments.
I was previously a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology at University College London (UCL), UCL Hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), where my research used integrated analyses of medications, long-term clinical outcomes and genomic data to understand a rare paediatric autoimmune disease called juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM). Prior to joining UNSW, I worked with a large dataset of electronic medical records for patients with rheumatic diseases in Australia to improve our understanding of how effective rheumatology drugs are in the real-world setting.
