Adjunct Professor David Templeton
Dave is a Sexual Health Physician and medical epidemiologist who has been specialising in management of HIV and other STIs for 25 years. He holds appointments as Head of Department, Sexual Health Medicine and of the Sexual Assault Medical Service for Sydney Local Health District , based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney's inner west and Professor at Sydney Medical School of the University of Sydney. Dave completed his PhD in 2008 on HIV & Sexually Transmissible Infection epidemiology in a large community-based cohort study of Australian gay men - the Health in Men (HIM) study. He has a broad research interest in the field of sexual health medicine, with a focus on the epidemiology of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in gay men and sexual assault.
