Mr Dennis Lam
Bachelor of Aviaton Management, UNSW
Masters of Commerce (Marketing), UNSW
Dennis graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Aviation Management and a Masters of Commerce. He spent over 22 years in the aviation industry, primarily in the airline operations control centre, where multiple department representatives work together around-the-clock to resolve various issues in the flight schedule. He worked for an Australian domestic airline, as well as a hub carrier based in Asia where he was the Head of Integrated Operations Centre for more than seven years.
Dennis has vast knowledge and experience in managing airline operations. During his career he witnessed and handled a number of major significant disruptions, such as shutdown of European airspace due to Icelandic Volcano Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 and the impact of Covid-19 throughout its different phases. Dennis also believes that time (window of opportunity) and people (experience) are the key to success in reducing flight disruptions inside the control centre.
Based in Taiwan, Dennis is now running a consulting company specialised in airline operations.
