Mr Dianer Yu

I am currently a Research Associate at the City Futures Research Centre, University of New South Wales (UNSW), working under the supervision of Scientia Professor Chris Pettit. I completed my PhD in AI/Data Science/Machine Learning at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where I was supervised by Chair Prof. Guandong Xu and Dr. Qian Li. I received Master of Information Technology (2021) and Bachelor of Information Technology (2018), both from UTS. My research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Data Science, Recommender Systems, Causal Inference, and Machine Learning, I've published over 18 research papers in top-tier AI conferences and journals including TKDE, WWW, SIGIR, CIKM, TOIS, TORS, Information Science, Neurocomputing, PAKDD, DASFAA, et al. My academic excellence has been recognized through numerous scholarships and awards, including the HDR Excellence Reward, President's Scholarship, International Research Scholarship, and multiple Dean's List. My long-term goal is to contribute to the development of more intelligent, transparent and effective data-driven systems across various domains. I am also actively seeking collaboration opportunities in both industry and academia.
