Hang Yin specializes in CO₂ geosequestration in aquifers and hydrocarbon reservoirs, focusing on enhancing its feasibility in heterogeneous and low-pressure formations to maximize CO₂ storage capacity. As a researcher in the GeoSequestration Research Lab, he led efforts that uncovered the potential of water-saturated CO₂ injection to simultaneously enhance oil recovery and improve CO₂ storage efficiency.
