A GP and Addiction specialist, chair of the RACGP Addiction Specific Interest Group, a clinician with many years clinical and teaching experience, Hester works as Chief Addiction Medicine Specialist for NSW, Clinical Director for Murrumbidgee LHD Drug and Alcohol, as Medical Advisor for Population and Community Heath in SESLHD and in private practice in Sydney. She is currently undertaking a PhD focused on GPs’ experience of patients with chronic pain and prescription opioid dependence.
