Dr Irene Ge

Irene completed her PhD in 2021 and is currently an Early Career Academic Fellow at the School of Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation. 

She was a PhD Teaching Fellow at the UNSW Business School in 2019 and has been employed as a casual academic throughout her PhD study.

Her research interests center on Emerging External Reporting (EER) and its related assurance engagement. In particular, carbon reporting and carbon-related financial disclosures, as well as the quality of assurance engagements. 

Irene currently teaches introductory financial reporting and auditing and assurance services courses at the undergraduate level.
