My Teaching

I have extensive experience in developing, convening and teaching a range of courses for physiotherapy and medical students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. See below for a snapshot of my teaching experience.

UNSW, Masters of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology, 2022 - present

  • Coordination of the development of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy curriculum (EXPT3178 and EXPT4156) including coordination of the external Cardiorespiratory Curriculum Working Group
  • Development of content for ANAT1452, HLTH1000, HLTH1001
  • Tutor for ANAT1452 Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics II, HLTH1000 Interprofessional Practice and Collaborative Care and HLTH1001 Academic Preparation for Health Study

Clinical Teaching - Prince of Wales Hospital

Teaching for acute cardiorespiratory placements and for new graduate physiotherapists as the Intensive Care and High Dependency Senior Physiotherapist (2011 to present), Cardiothoracics Senior Physiotherapist (2009 - 2011) and Respiratory Senior Physiotherapist (2008-2009). Supervision of approximately 50 students/year from undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy programs.


Macquarie University, Doctor of Physiotherapy and Medical Programs 2013-2023

  • Tutor and unit convenor of multiple units of study for DPT and MD program.
  • Development and mapping of competency-based curriculum and assessment
  • Delivery of blended learning via face-to-face and online tutorials.
  • Analysis of student performance to identify/fill gaps in student experience.
  • Written and verbal reporting of results to the team and faculty including Excel analysis of complex clinical placement results.
  • Guest lecturer for other disciplines (e.g. BClinSci and Speech Pathology).
  • Experience in coordinating clinical simulation for physiotherapy students
