Dr James Dutton

James Dutton is a Lecturer in English and Media Studies at UNSW Canberra. He completed his PhD at UNSW Sydney in 2018, where he taught in English and Media Studies on casual contracts between 2017 and 2023. 

His research is directed towards literary theory. He has published on topics related to twentieth century and contemporary European philosophy and literature. He is the author of Proust between Deleuze and Derrida: The Remains of Literature (Edinburgh UP, 2022), and articles in leading academic journals including ParagraphCultural PoliticsTextual Practice, and Cultural Critique.
