Dr James Xu
MBBS, PhD, FRACP, FCSANZ, FACC
Dr James Xu is a Staff Specialist in Cardiology and Director of Training and Education at the Department of Cardiology, Liverpool Hospital, Sydney. Dr Xu is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, and The American College of Cardiology. Dr Xu received his medical degree from the University of Sydney and PhD from the University of New South Wales. Dr Xu specialises in complex high risk percutaneous coronary interventions, having completed Interventional Cardiology training at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney and further training at the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital, Northwell Health, New York, USA. Dr Xu's current research interests include acute coronary syndrome, coronary physiology, microvascular dysfunction, coronary atherectomy and chronic total occlusions. He is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
