Miss Jess Lo
Jess is a Research Associate at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA), where she has played a key role in leading and coordinating research for the international Stroke and Cognition Consortium (STROKOG). She holds an MSc in Medical Statistics and has over a decade of experience in clinical trials and epidemiological research.
Jess’s primary research focus is vascular cognitive impairment and dementia. Her research interests include modifiable vascular risk factors for cognitive decline, mapping cognitive trajectories, predicting post-stroke dementia risk, and investigating ethno-regional differences in post-stroke cognitive outcomes. Her work aims to support earlier identification and the prevention or delay of dementia, ultimately improving patient care and long-term outcomes. She also has an interest in statistical methodologies, particularly in applying and advancing approaches for complex longitudinal and multi-cohort data in dementia epidemiology.
