Dr Kay Hasebe

Dr Hasebe is a recently appointed early-career researcher in the School of Medical Sciences at UNSW Sydney. Her PhD in Medicine was awarded in June 2018 from Deakin University. Her work investigates converging area of impacts of environmental factors such as diets and stress on the peripheral and central immune system, gut microbiome and affective behaviour in animal models and clinical populations Her current work with Prof. Margaret Morris (SoMS) and Prof. Fred Westbrook (Psychology) explores underlying mechanisms of effects of maternal obesity on behavioural outcomes in offspring.
