Professor Kazuaki Negishi

I am an academic cardiologist and clinical trialist based in Liverpool, NSW, Australia.

Professor and Chair of Cardiovascular Research in South Western Sydney and a consultant cardiologist at Liverpool Hospital in South Western Sydney Local Health District.

I began my career in Japan before spending time at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA, the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, University of Tasmania, the Royal Hobart Hospital, and most recently the University of Sydney and the Nepean Hospital. I founded an echo laboratory in Gunma University Japan, where I led a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiology trainees, sonographers, and students. Now the echo lab is one of the leading academic echo labs in Japan. I regularly attend national and international conferences (AHA, ACC, ESC, ASE, EAVCI) to present our cutting-edge research output.
