Pathology

Dr. Chemello completed his PhD at the University of La Réunion in 2022 and is currently an early career researcher at the University of New South Wales. His research takes a multidisciplinary approach, combining metabolic and immunological perspectives to advance the prevention and treatment of type 1 diabetes. His work focuses on developing therapeutic strategies that preserve pancreatic beta cells, enhance their function, and promote their regeneration.
