School of Mathematics & Statistics

I am a PhD candidate in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at UNSW Sydney, where I also work as a casual academic. My research aims to build a rigorous statistical framework for estimation in streaming settings that parallels the foundations of classical statistics. I am also interested in computational statistics and building R packages. You can find my codes on Github.

I enjoy collaborating with researchers across disciplines who require statistical expertise. Thus, if you have access to data streams from your research/experiments and are looking for statistical support, feel free to reach out. More broadly, I am always happy to discuss statistics with anyone who needs it.

Outside of research, I have a keen interest in data visualization and run topical reading groups. For more information, visit my personal website.

My research draws on mathematical statistics to study data stream. In particular, I am interested in developing a rigorous inferential framework for streaming estimators, which carefully accounts for the constraints inherent to the streaming setting and characterizes what is statistically achievable, and what is not..

A longer-term goal is to apply this theoretical lens to the problem of changepoint detection in streaming environments, with the aim of better understanding and improving upon existing online methods. I am also broadly interested in exploratory data analysis for streaming data, and in building interactive tools that make these methods accessible in practice.
