Dr Kristen Overton
BSc MBBS MPHTM FRACP PHD
Kristen Overton is an Infectious Diseases Specialist at Prince of Wales Hospital and has undertaken PhD studies focusing on the social and cultural factors that contribute to antimicrobial use and resistance in India. Kristen's research draws on social theory to learn how we can optimise the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, particularly in vulnerable populations. Her clinical and research interest areas include blood-borne viruses, infections in immunosuppressed populations, antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship.
