Senior Research Associate/Business Manager, School of Chemical Engineering

Dr Mandalena Hermawan is the Research Manager for the Particles and Catalysis Research Group, and the Business Manager of the ARC ITRP Training Centre for Global Hydrogen Economy (GlobH2E) based at UNSW. The Particles and Catalysis Research Group is a world-leading catalysis and nanomaterials research group with expertise and focus around catalysis processes that are thermal, electrochemical, photo-thermal and photoelectrochemical. She is responsible for the delivery of high-level strategic and operational advice and support to the PartCat Director and GlobH2E Co-Directors on the achievement of operational and administration objectives. 

As Business Manager, she is responsible for ensuring compliance with aspects of ARC funding rules and UNSW policies and procedures, full oversight of Centre's recruitment of Postdoctoral Researcher and HDR students, high level budgets, monitoring and reporting against KPIs. She enjoyed building relationships with many stakeholders including university partners and industry partners.

As PartCat Research Manager, she has full oversight of the operational activity of the group including effective planning, coordinating, organising, decision-making to support the research goals and priorities of the Group.
