Maximilienne Whitby

Maximilienne Whitby’s thesis, ‘Toward Design for Neurodiversity: person environment fit implications of atypical somatosensory function in neurodiverse adults, explores the way that people with a lived experience of neurodiversity interact with the built environment. It focuses on the impact of somatosensory function – namely, how various neurodiverse people’s experiences while they use a building might be informed by their sense of touch, and what this might mean for how they can or cannot use the space in the way that they want to.
