Dr Meherose Borthwick is an anthropologist whose work explores craft, textile and fashion supply chains in India, with particular focus on caste, kinship and gender relations. Her ethnographic research approach incorporates participant observation, interviews and visual methods of film and photography.
She is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health, University of NSW, working across two projects: one investigating homemade, amateur and DIY creativity, and another exploring the role of public libraries in mediating digital inequality in Australia.
