Melvin Chin is a clinical academic medical oncologist – he cares for patients with lung, melanoma, gastrointestinal and other cancers and he teaches UNSW medical students in the Oncology and Palliative Care term. He was the Head of Department-Medical Oncology at the Prince of Wales Hospital from 2015-2018 overseeing the move of clinical services into the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre and the seemless collaboration with the Scientia Clinical Research. He is a member of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee. He has contributed to numerous clinical trials and health services research studies and continues to nurture new research collaborations.
