Research Interests:
Within the field of Trauma Surgery, clinical research related to injury and research into regional trauma systems development and surgical trauma education are areas of interest and activity. These include acute reception and managment of the severely injured, clinical research into decision-making, errors in care and 'near misses' in managing severely injured patients. Additionally, the international development of the Definitive Surgical Trauma Care (DSTC) course as well as advancement of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines as they pertain to injury are pursued.
