Professor Shailendra Sawleshwarkar

Shailendra is Associate Dean International and Executive Education at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, UNSW Sydney, providing strategic leadership in advancing global health through education, research, and international partnerships. He brings extensive experience in health professional education, clinical leadership, and the development of high‑impact research collaborations across digital health, One Health, infectious diseases, and sexual and reproductive health.

As a trusted leader and convenor, Shailendra plays a critical role in strengthening domestic and global academic networks, enabling institutional partnerships that deliver measurable impact. He has secured competitive funding through Australian Government DFAT programs, MRFF, NHMRC, and industry partnerships to support innovative education, research, and capacity‑building initiatives aligned to pressing global health priorities.
