Shubhra Shekhar is a PhD candidate in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on non-destructive sensing and advanced characterisation methods aimed at improving quality assurance and process understanding in modern food systems. His work brings together principles from chemical engineering, computer science, and data-driven modelling to develop innovative approaches for analysing complex food products and their behaviour.

His PhD is part of the Future Food Systems CRC in collaboration with Sanitarium Health Food Company. He works closely with academics from the School of Chemical Engineering and the School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW, as well as researchers from Sanitarium, contributing to multidisciplinary efforts in emerging technologies for food engineering and analytical science.
