School of Clinical Medicine

Dr The Huong (Kevin) Chau is a Conjoint Lecturer at the School of Clinical Medicine - UNSW Sydney, a research scientist with the Immunology Department at NSW Health Pathology, and an Affiliate Researcher at the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research. Kevin holds a PhD from Macquarie University, where his research focused on glycobiology, glycomics and glycoproteomics, with particular interests in the development and application of advanced mass spectrometry approaches to investigate protein glycosylation in health and disease.

Kevin's current research focuses on development and translation of high-resolution mass spectrometry methods for clinical immunology and diagnostic applications. With the aim to bridge analytical mass spectrometry and laboratory medicine, his work spans across clinical proteomics, middle-down and bottom-up proteomics analysis, immunoglobulin and antibody characterisation, and development of mass spectrometry-based approaches for haematological and immunological disorders.
