Tierney Marey (she/her) is the Manager of Student Experience in UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture and a doctoral candidate in the UNSW School of Social Sciences.

Tierney is a praxis-based professional, specialising in equity in higher education and youth organisations, and a qualitative researcher with particular interest in embodiment and creative, queer, and intersectional feminist methods. Her person-centred approach draws on her professional and research background, alongside her lived experience. Tierney has published and presented in areas such as LGBTQIA+ inclusion and identity, equity, queering research methods, and inclusive education.

In 2022 she was awarded a 30 under 30 award from Out for Australia and the UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture’s Dean’s Award for Inclusion.
