
Dr. Waleed Alghamdi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Optometry at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia, a position he has held after serving as the head of the same department. In addition to his academic roles, he is the current president of the Saudi Society of Optometry and the Co-founder of the Sight for All Foundation in Saudi Arabia.
He also holds the position of the head of the Scientific Committee of the Eastern Mediterranean Council of Optometry and is a visiting research fellow at the University of New South Wales.
Dr. Alghamdi began his academic journey at King Saud University, where he earned his BSc in Optometry. He continued his education at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, gaining both a Masters and a PhD in Optometry.
His research interests are centered around contact lenses, dry eye disease, and community eye health. Apart from his academic and research activities, Dr. Alghamdi participates in various committees and foundations, dedicating his efforts to improving eye health and preventing blindness.
