Dr Yang Yu is a Research Fellow specialising in Structural Engineering and Construction Materials. His research focuses on three key areas: 1) sustainable construction materials; 2) the digital transformation of civil infrastructure; and 3) smart materials for resilient structures.
Dr Yu serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Frontiers in Materials (IF: 2.9), an Editorial Board Member for Science Progress (IF: 2.9), and a Youth Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials (IF: 6.6). He is also an ECR Committee Member of the International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (ISHMII). Furthermore, Dr Yu has been included in the World's Top 2% Scientists List (published by Elsevier and Stanford University) consecutively since 2022.
