
I am an Associate Professor n the School of Information Systems and Technology Management at the University of New South Wales Australia. Her papers appear in the Information & Management, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology (JASIST), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Journal of Global Information Management (JGIM), IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, the Australian Journal of Educational Technology, Computers in Human Behavior, and ICIS, ECIS, AMCIS, HICSS. I am the best paper award winner in the 2009 IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, the winner of the AIS Award for Best Conference Paper in IS Education of year 2011, and the best paper winner 2011 AIS SIG-ED IAIM 2011 Conference. My research interests focus on understanding positive use of information systems in changing individuals' life, ncluding digital enabled learning systems, social media and online games, computer mediated communication media, and business analytics.

Research Grants:
Currently, I am involved in two online learning related reserch projects. The first one adoptes Action Reserach Design approach, and the second project is undertaken by my honours student, Jason Hou, in which we used repertory grid interview to collete data and used laddering analysis method to develop a hierarchical framework of technology use in online learning. Both projects aim to refine Community of Inquiry (CoI) framewory with a digital flavour.
