If you're new to the UNSW Applicant Portal, select ‘Register Now’ on the portal home page to create an account. You'll need a valid email address to register. If you already have an account, log in using your registered email and password.
Once logged in, follow the prompts to begin your application. Your application is saved as you go, so you can log out and return at any time. Most applications take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

To access your application or offer, log in to the UNSW Applicant Portal using your existing login details. You may be prompted to set a new password on your first login – check your inbox for a reset email, including your junk or spam folder.

Yes, but you won't be able to make the changes online. You will need to submit an enquiry directly to the Admissions team.

Yes. To request for credit transfer, make sure you check "yes" to the question 'Are you seeking credit for any of the above studies?' If you're applying for an undergraduate program, please also attach detailed course outlines.

A non-refundable application fee of $150 AUD may be payable (see below for exclusions). Payment can be made by credit card only, using our secure online payment service.
Domestic applicants: Please note the application processing fee does not apply to applications for honours year programs, postgraduate Research programs, programs offered at UNSW Canberra and postgraduate programs.
International applicants: Please note the application processing fee does not apply to applications for UNSW Global Diploma programs, postgraduate Research programs and programs offered at UNSW Canberra.
Yes — with their permission, you can use another person's credit card to pay the application fee.
Refunds are processed at the market exchange rate on the day of initiation. Due to currency fluctuations, the amount refunded in local currency may differ from the original payment.
Yes. Application closing dates vary by program and intake. Check the application closing dates for the deadline.
You can only submit one application at a time, but you may include up to three programs in your preferences. A non-refundable application fee may apply.
No. You must personally complete the application to study at UNSW. However, UNSW has recognised agents who may be able to help you with your application.
The UNSW Applicant Portal is available 24/7, except during system maintenance. Normal hours of support are between 9am – 5pm (Sydney time) from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
