The UNSW Gateway Program supports you on your journey to university.
Whether you're in your final years of high school or if you've finished school, you can explore your interest and get tailored support on how to apply to uni. Take part in workshops, on-campus days and online learning, and gain support in applying for the Gateway Admission Pathway to fast-track your entry into UNSW.

Wondering what comes after high school? Year 10 is a great time to start exploring your interests, discover uni pathways and think about the possibilities ahead. Delivered to Gateway partner schools through an interactive in-school workshop, see how your personal values can guide the decisions that shape your future.

Our Gateway Program gives you a taste of uni life, so you can head into the HSC and feel confident that you’re on the right path. Get exclusive access to academic resources, workshops and support as you complete your exams. You’ll also get familiar with the Gateway Admission Pathway to help you prepare for your uni application.

Unlocking Gateway
Check your eligibility
To be eligible for the Gateway Admission Pathway, you must be:
- an Australian Permanent Resident, Australian Citizen, or New Zealand Citizen
- completing an Australian Year 12 qualification in the year of application
AND one of the following
- attend a Gateway school
- live in a low-socioeconomic area based on IRSAD or IEO indexes of SEIFA criteria
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Apply for our Gateway Admission Pathway
If you’re a Year 12 student getting ready to apply for uni, you may be eligible for our Gateway Admission Pathway. Successful applicants receive an early offer to UNSW or a conditional offer with reduced ATAR requirements for their chosen degree.
