Are you looking to gain some real-world business experience, and put your university learnings into practice?
While you’re studying, why not get a taste of what a career in finance or financial consulting looks like with our Dealbook project.
Designed in partnership with experiential learning platform, Practera, this project offers you the co-curricular opportunity to work on a two-week real-world business project. The program connects you with real clients to undertake a funding analysis for an Australian start-up or not-for-profit organisation.
-
Working in small teams, you will analyse current and emerging funding sources for the client’s business and prepare a report that outlines insights and recommendations on the top funding opportunities that the organisation should explore.
You will act as a business consultant to complete a report, with feedback provided along the way. You’ll need to commit to 25 hours in total over the two week experience. You can meet with your team in person or collaborate online to complete the project.
As a student consultant in this program, you'll:
Work in a team with other students from the UNSW Business School
Respond to a brief provided by a real client
Work with your allocated team to conduct a market analysis and outline insights on the top funding opportunities
Develop real world professional skills
