Global Scope Business Project

Work on a business project experience with a NSW Government agency, NGO or private enterprise.

UNSW Business School, in conjunction with StudyNSW and Practera, will be offering students the unique opportunity to work on a business project experience with NSW Government agency, NGO or private enterprise, throughout 2021.

In small teams, students will create options, to address current business projects, meet with the project client once a week, be coached by industry mentors, enhance your business capabilities, build professional skills and expand your professional network.

This program will combine on-line learning with a 2-hour workshop, and 3-4 meetings with project clients or industry mentors. Projects last for 3-weeks, and students are expected to contribute 50 hours in total.

As a student consultant in this program, you will:

Need to be in Sydney during the program in order to meet with your team and project client and industry mentor.

  • Work with NSW Government departments/ Corporates/ Startups
  • Develop networks with leaders, project clients, industry mentors and management consultants
  • Work with diverse teams to create an innovative business proposition
  • Learn applied business skills in industry
  • Develop real world professional skills

Program expectations:

This is an extracurricular program. To gain the official certification, you must complete:

  • The 50-hour commitment
  • Meetings with your client and mentor every week (On average, 1-hour meeting each every week)
  • Project Deliverables: Project Plan, Project Findings Report (Draft), Project Findings Report (Final) and Final Presentation.

Please see the table below for Business Projects program 2021 dates. Students are encouraged to complete more than one business project but will only be able to apply and participate in one project at a time.

Global Scope is open to all UNSW Business School students, both undergraduate and postgraduate.

We will be releasing information on this soon. 

This is an extra-curricular program. To gain the official certification, you must complete:

  • Compulsory pre-program information session
  • The 50-hour time commitment
  • Draft market research and insights report submission
  • Final report submission
  • Final Presentation
  • Student feedback survey
