UNSW Canberra’s Semester 2, 2026 Prescribed Resources lists are now available.

As a student, you can use these lists to:

  • confirm the Compulsory & Recommended resources for your units
  • check suppliers and prices (for undergraduate course resources)
  • find a copy of any prescribed print books in the High-Use Collection in the Library (B13) Reading Lounge area

The Academy Library is e-preferred. We aim to source unlimited licenses for prescribed/compulsory titles wherever possible, if available, to ensure equitable access for all users.

The different formats currently offered include:

Electronic format:

  • UNLIMITED licence – any number of users clients can access the item at any one time. You won’t need to purchase your own copy
  • Restricted licence – only 3 or 6 people can read it simultaneously. Access is temporarily limited when the capacity is reached so students will need to try and access again another time. To guarantee access, it is recommended that you purchase your own individual e-copy.

Print format:

Some texts are only available in print. The Library will provide at least 1 copy in our High Use Collection (with a 4 hour loan period). For guaranteed access, you will need to purchase your own copy.

Note to undergraduate ADF training officers: ADFA will not re-imburse any title that has been made available by the Library via an unlimited licence.  Compulsory print and restricted electronic items are covered, recommended titles are not covered for re-imbursement.
