UNSW has a new Information Governance Policy, effective from 1 February 2025.

The Information Governance Policy applies to all students, researchers, trainees, employees and affiliates, and sets out clear principles for managing data and using our digital resources.

This policy ensures we all comply with the relevant laws, standards, codes, guidelines, ethics approvals and contractual obligations related to information governance.

The policy and supporting documents combine 15 policy documents into one, including the Acceptable Use of UNSW Information Resources Policy, AI Guiding Principles, Data Breach Policy and Procedure, and many more.
