Congratulations to Tim Schofield, Emma Fabiansson and Lisa Yu on their recent awards and recognitions in the field of Social Psychology.

Tim Schofield (PhD student) won the Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award at the Society of Australasian Social Psychologists 2012 conference in Adelaide last month. The title of his talk was "An alternate pathway to successful self-control: Self-control training reduces detection of distracters."

Emma Fabiansson (MA/PhD Org student) was selected to be a part of the Young Investigators Program at the International Society for Research on Aggression conference in July. She was given $2500 for airfare to Luxembourg, and all registration fees, accommodation, and meals will be covered by the society.

Lisa Yu (Honours student from 2011 and current full-time RA) won the Psychologists for Peace Prize ($500) for her honours thesis titled "The dark side of self-control: Can self-control training increase aggressive behaviour?" This is the 2nd year in a row a lab member has won this award.
