Yesterday, Associate Professor Norman Wildberger gave a talk at Knox Grammar School to around 70 Heads of Maths Departments of Independent Schools, titled "National Curriculum issues and opportunities for revitalizing geometrical thinking in the classroom".

The aim was to try to address the issue of a new national mathematics curriculum for Australia that ACARA, the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority Council, has proposed for advanced mathematics for Years 11 and 12.

The talk is available to view on YouTube. Also see the accompanying notes (PDF).
