The recent spate of doping controversies across elite sport has generated significant media and public attention.

Many questions remain unanswered about the implementation and policing of anti-doping regulations, including the place of the World Anti-Doping Code; the importance of athletes’ rights; the impact of doping on governance of sporting organisations; and how governments and sporting bodies are involved.

Join a panel of experts as they examine the regulation of doping from a range of legal perspectives in a public forum moderated by Tracey Holmes, formerly of ABC Grandstand.

Panellists include:

  • Catherine Ordway, International Sports Doping Consultant
  • John Marshall, SC
  • Professor Andrew Byrnes, Chair of UNSW’s Australian Human Rights Centre
  • Dr Tom Hickie, Barrister and UNSW Adjunct lecturer
  • Deborah Healey, UNSW Senior Lecturer, commercial and sports law expert
