Professor Jim Franklin will feature in a radio program about logic on ABC's Radio National this weekend. The broadcast, on The Philosopher's Zone, will run on Sunday 11 September at 5:30pm, and will be repeated on Wednesday 13 September at 7.30pm.

Tune in via The Philosopher's Zone website, or at frequency 576AM (Sydney).

About the program:
Logic works in a surprising range of places, from the law to your smart phone. It’s all about propositions and connectives—if you infer validly you should end up with truth.

But the question of why logical relations should hold across unlike domains remains a serious philosophical mystery. Logic might be a grand cosmological truth, or just a game of words between consenting adults.
