Professor Gary Froyland has been invited as a plenary speaker at the SIAM Conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems.

The conference, to be held in May in Utah, USA, encompasses theoretical, computational, and experimental research on dynamical systems. Highlighted areas include the dynamics of biological, chemical, physical, social, and financial systems along with applications in geophysics, fluid dynamics, materials science, engineering, and other applied sciences.

Professor Froyland is among an exclusive group of researchers hand-picked to present plenary talks at the conference. His talk is titled "Dynamics, Mixing, and Coherence".

SIAM is the peak US body for applied and industrial mathematics, and the conference is the primary SIAM conference for people working in dynamical systems. The conference  typically has over 800 participants.
