CCRC staff win Excellence Award for gender equity talks.

Congratulations to Dr. Angela Maharaj, A/Prof Lisa Alexander, Dr. Melissa Hart and A/Prof Katrin Meissner who won the UNSW Science Staff Excellence Award in recognition and celebration of Excellence in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. This honour was awarded for their successful and engaging 2016 Gender Equity Recognition Lunches (GERL) that they hold in the Climate Change Research Centre, where lunch is provided and speakers talk on issues of gender equity. These lunch time seminars always result in interesting discussions about gender inequality and concious and unconcious biases at anywhere from the personal to the organisational or national scale. They have already continued the award-winning seminar series into the new year.
