Dr Alessandro Ottazzi has shared some of his personal experiences in a piece that appeared in "Inside UNSW".
The article, IDAHOBIT: Celebrating voices from the LGBTIQ+ Community, featured several UNSW staff members and students' experiences against the backdrop of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), which was celebrated on Friday 17 May.
Dr Ottazzi (pictured right) spoke about the challenges of his upbringing in a society where the LGBTIQ+ community was hidden.
